About Bachelors in Social Work (BSW/BASW)
The Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW), affiliated with Tribhuvan University, is a four-year academic program designed to produce competent generalist social workers capable of addressing contemporary social issues in Nepal and beyond. The program integrates theory, fieldwork, ethics, and research to prepare students for professional social work practice.
Students develop the ability to conduct casework, facilitate group interventions, and organize community development initiatives through extensive fieldwork exceeding 450 hours over the four years. They acquire skills in psychosocial assessment, community mobilization, social policy analysis, and welfare administration.
